The Cathedral of Florence was built on the ruins of the original church Santa Reparata. The construction took 140 years to be completed and involved some of the greatest artists of all time, such as the supreme architect Filippo Brunelleschi. The cathedral complex includes Giotto’s campanile and the Baptistery. Today it is one of the main tourist attraction of Tuscany.
